10 am Sunday Parish Mass
We were pleased to reopen as soon as permitted to offer public worship on Sunday mornings. We seek to worship God in the beauty of holiness using time-honoured traditions of ritual, thoughtful (and brief!) homilies, and praying for our community. We are a friendly bunch, delighted to be back together in church - and you are very welcome to join us.
We still maintain certain restrictions relating to the pandemic to try and keep u all safe. It is recommended that face-masks are worn when entering and moving about the church. In the pews most people now do not wear them, as we are all facing the same way (apart from the priest!), and we can still distance by using every other pew. At the time of holy communion, we ask you to wear your mask, and sanitise your hands when coming up for communion. We now offer communion in both kinds - if you wish, you can dip the host (consecrated bread) into the chalice. Please avoid touching the Precious Blood with your fingers. There is a one-way system in operation round the church. We ventilate the building after the service.
Having said all that, our experience of worship is that it is dignified, prayerful and sustaining.
Weekday Masses - the above restrictions apply.
The church is also open on Wednesday evenings before mass from 5.30 p.m. when the Sacrament is exposed for private prayer.
All services are live-streamed on our Facebook Group page "Savvylove" with reflections and other devotional material.
