At a time of heightened tension and hostility targetted at faith organisations, it was timely that those who frequent the Hope Cafe in Ravensthorpe had already planned a visit to one of the local mosques. "It was just the right time for people to show interest and solidarity with each other who come to the community Cafe and with the North Road mosque", said Fr George, Cafe joint co-ordinator. "Some Christian ladies had asked about visiting a mosque a few weeks back, and it was great North Road was able to respond. Everyone enjoyed finding out more about Islam, and seeing for themselves where worship takes place. A reciprocal visit to St Saviour's is planned for the autumn."
