A weekly meeting to pray together at St Peter's for each other, our community and our world.

All members of our community are invited to pop in to St Peter's to join us in prayer. Whether it is for giving thanks, asking for healing or sharing your worries about local, national or international events, all are welcome.

A warm welcome to all (over 50s) for activities, chat and refreshments every Tuesday from 1:00 to 3:00pm. This is a ‘drop-in’ kind of group and also a friendly group that you can introduce a friend to.

Refreshments will be provided including cakes and biscuits. There will be some activities on offer both weekly and monthly for those who want them; if you don’t then that is fine too. There is no pressure. If chat is all you want then there will be plenty of that too!

We all know how formidable it can be joining a new group. If you are thinking of coming along but the thought of entering alone is making you hesitant then all you have to do is contact Lorraine, on 07540 333463, who will arrange for someone to meet you at the door.

Join us at St Peter's for our "After School Church" aimed at primary school children and tots. Doors will open at 3:15pm for a 3:40 start, finishing at 4:40pm. There will be, drinks & snacks, singing, story time, prayers, activities, crafts and games.

Join us at St Peter's for our Art and Craft Club every Thursday morning at 10am. Bring along your favourite art or craft and enjoy a sociable friendly morning! EVERYONE WELCOME! Experienced or novice pop in for a look and more details.
Entrance fee is £2 per session. We don't do tuition but offer advice, with help always being gladly given. We bring our own drinks but provide biscuits. All profits go to St Peter's church. The picture above is from one of our regular exhibitions.

St Peter's Coffee Mornings are starting up again on the first Saturday of each month, from January 2025. This is also the gardening day so, if you have any spare time, all help is gratefully received.

All inclusive Sunday service. We start and end all together with songs and prayers. and in the middle, everyone can engage with the theme of the service in "Zone Learning" in different ways. Discover the message of the theme in your own way, whether creative, busy, reflective, or prayerful. The service will last around 50 minutes. We look forward to seeing you as we adventure together into this different experience of Church!

This is a popular Sunday morning service including communion most Sundays. We worship with a variety of different hymns and more contemporary songs. Tea, coffee and fellowship follow afterwards. All who join us will receive a warm welcome . We also have Kids' Church for our young ones. Whenever possible the service will be streamed live via the church Facebook page. Celebration Communion Service, the service starts outside the building and moves indoors as we celebrate the arrival of Jesus into Jerusalem.

P@4 is an informal themed service with contemporary worship, prayer, teaching, sharing and ministry.

United service with St Paul's Drighlington including Holy Communion, readings and a Maundy Thursday meal. Please sign up in advance.

Explore the Easter Egg Trail around St. Peter's Church, Gildersome. Hot cross buns, hot drinks and family crafts. Admission free.

Carrying the Cross from Gildersome Baptist Church to Gildersome Green for a short service, and then back again. Refreshments will follow.

Contemplative service to commemorate Good Friday

Breakfast butties at 8:45am followed by a celebration service including Holy Communion at 9:30am. Coffee and chocolate to follow.

St Peter's will be hosting a coffee morning in aid of the Bexley Wing at St. James' Hospital. There will be cake, hot drinks, raffle, tombola and bric-a-brac. Donation will be gratefully accepted - phone 07456 690666
