St Paul's
St Paul’s is the village church for the Church of England Parish of Shepley. It is here as a place of prayer and worship for everyone who lives and works in the village and beyond. It is open everyday from 10am to 3pm and anyone is welcome to come for a time of quiet and to use the refreshment facilities.
Our usual service times are 11am on a Sunday and 10am on a Wednesday. When there is a fifth Sunday in the month we may worship at another local church, and occasionally we join with the Methodist Church. When these things happen there will be a notice on the board outside, in the magazine which is available in church, and on the website.
We are part of a benefice (a group of churches sharing a vicar) with Cumberworth, Denby, Denby Dale and Shepley and also part of the Anglican Diocese of Leeds.
The parish of Shepley: St Paul is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
