During Lent 2025 we will be exploring issues of Inclusion in the church, looking at the topics of disability, ethnicity, gender, mental health, poverty and sexuality. Join us for a simple shared meal (soup & bread) as we explore relevant Bible readings and discussion.

A simple, shared meal of soup and bread around a large table, including a Eucharist, singing and optional foot washing.

This is followed by Tenebrae service from 9pm.

Readings, music and prayers in this candlelit service where each candle is extinguished one by one, sending us into darkness, ending with the promised light of Christ.

Meet at Salvation Army New Hey Road to begin walk at 9.45am.
Walking approximately 1 mile to Lindley Methodist Church (45 East St, Lindley, Huddersfield HD3 3ND), stopping for readings and prayer at churches en route. Hot Cross Buns and drinks available at Lindley Methodist Church following the walk.
Service begins at 11am.

Prayers, hymns, laments and devotions as we face the reality of Jesus' sacrifice with death on the cross.

Worship as dawn is breaking to celebrate the risen Christ around the Easter Fire and bring the light of Christ into church.

Followed by hot drinks & bacon butties.

Whole church family thanksgiving for Jesus' resurrection. Service with communion followed by refreshments.
Includes activities for younger members.

Please bring a flower to decorate our Easter cross as a sign of new life through the risen Christ.
