Our bellringing team are a real gift to our church community.
On Monday evening 16th September 8 ringers rang a Quarter Peal of Plain Bob Major. This involved 1250 changes and took us 49 minutes of continuous ringing.
It was made all the more exciting as there was no lighting due to the roof repairs. We were able to borrow a couple of lights from downstairs and finished before it was too dark.
It was the Yorkshire Association of Change Ringers Quarter Peal week. Ringing will have been taking place all over the county. It was conducted by Mark Sheridan and it was his first Quarter Peal on 8 bells. A fantastic achievement.
