This group and the wider congregation will be exploring the Living Hope Lent resources available through the Church of England. There is a book, daily reflections for Lent, and activities for children and families – all based on these themes:

Come and experience the meditative beauty of this service of Music and Readings on the Passion of Our Lord, and join with the choir and others for refreshments afterwards. All welcome

Each night there will be a short Eucharist for Holy Week, including a reflection on the reading for the day.

Our Eucharist contains all the traditional elements of a Maundy Thursday service, as we remember Jesus washing his disciples’ feet and end with the stripping of the church.
The Vigil at the altar of repose will be kept for an hour from 9pm. People are encouraged to keep watch as Jesus asked his disciples to keep watch and pray. Please come for all or whatever part of the time you are able to.

This interactive workshop is designed to people of all ages to engage with the story of Holy Week in an interactive and “hands on” way. Held in our crypt community room and around the church we hope parents will bring their children and engage together. The workshop starts and finishes with a short act of worship. Refreshments will be available throughout in the crypt and people are encouraged to join those returning from the walk of witness for refreshments in church at 12pm.

We carry the cross of Christ into the church, and together we think about the meaning of Jesus living and dying for each one of us. We hear the Gospel story of Christ’s death

A reflective and informal evening service for Good Friday
