It is good to meet together, and each week we have enjoyed hearing the bells being rung before the services – so, many thanks to Shirley Barnett and her team of volunteer ringers. We are now meeting in the Chancel, which is much easier to heat! We are serving coffee & biscuits after our services, giving us the opportunity to chat! All are welcome to join us.

Our Carol Service will be led by The Revd Canon Michael Knight, followed by seasonal refreshments at the Boat Club. The Mayor of Rushcliffe has already indicated that he will be pleased to attend and, towards the end of the service, we will present a cheque to our Charity of the Year, Stroke Research at the University of Nottingham. There will be the usual service of Holy Communion at 9:30 am, also led by The Revd Canon Michael Knight.

We welcome the pupils and teachers of Normanton on Soar Primary School, together with parents, grandparents, friends and members of the village community to a Christingle Service in St James Church. The service will be led by The Revd Chris Taylor, who lives in the village.

Following the success of our August Evening Prayer services with music and poetry and prayers, we will be holding a similar style of service. Half an hour of peace and reflection on almost the shortest day of the year!

Do come and join us to celebrate Christmas Day with a service of Holy Communion led by The Revd Simon Richardson. Enjoy singing the carols and hearing the Christmas story. Refreshments will be served after the service. All are welcome!

With effect from the first Sunday in January 2024, Sue Waterston will be leading this service on the first Sunday of each month. You are very welcome to join us for this informal service, and have a cup of coffee afterwards.
