St Luke at Upper Broughton
St Luke’s Church is over 850 years old. It has Norman arches, a 13th century tower, a 14th century font and a quilt sewn in the 1980s.
We at St Luke’s are proud of our ancient church which continues to serve the community. It is Grade 1 listed, and in the last four years we have made major repairs to the chancel roof to keep out the rain, removed the redundant cast iron radiators, fitted a new kitchen in the vestry and had major work carried out on the organ. Currently we are working on repairing the cast iron guttering on the north side, making more substantial repairs to the organ and replacing some of the crumbling ironstone on the tower.

This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
