Looking for an evening of giant, poverty-beating, community-building fun? You’ve found it!

churches and groups from every corner of the UK will take part in Tearfund’s Big Quiz Night – and you can be part of it.

We will be hosting the Quiz in the parish hall.

Since 2018, tens of thousands of people have taken part in a Big Quiz Night, raising over £675,000 to help end poverty.

What do people say about this event?

'The best night of the year in our church! People love getting together and we’ve always had people joining us who don’t normally come to church.' – Mrs Anita Rowe, Bangor Parish Church

'It was wonderful to be a part of this again! The online resources are superb – Tearfund makes it easy. We love it because it's an outreach opportunity for our church and at the same time we're able to join with others in making a difference to the lives of people living in poverty.' – Pastor Tim Moody, Moriah Baptist Church

St Helen

Church vision... we long with Christ to be churches that:

Love - seek to grow together

Pray - continue to be healing places of prayer

Grow - make disciples growing from the Bible,

      - Particularly growing children's and young people's faith

Serve - encourage the ministry of all; walk in mission,

      - sharing Jesus & serving those outside the church;

      - Seeking justice for the world

Safeguarding

"The benefice of Trowell Awsworth and Cossall is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
