With continued updates regarding the coronavirus outbreak , we wanted to keep you updated with the action we are taking across the United Benefice of Blidworth and Rainworth churches to limit its affects. This is an ever changing situation and the leadership team are closely monitoring new guidance from the Church of England and Public Health England.Following this advice , at present, the decision has been taken that essential services will continue with the following adjustments:Holy Communion will be given in one kind only. The use of the common cup has been suspended. Physical contact should be avoided, which means we cannot shake hands during the sharing the Peace.To reduce the risk of infection we will not be serving refreshments after the service, so you may want to bring a bottle of water with you.Please take notice of government advice should you be suffering from a new continuous cough or temperature and self isolate to prevent passing infection to our most vulnerable people.Please use hand gels provided and wash hands regularly.We have also taken the decision to suspend the following sessions:At St AndrewsTalk and Tea Bingo ( Tuesdays) Sunday Lunches ( 1st sunday of the month) Monthly coffee morning ( last Saturday of the month)St Simon and St JudeFriday and Saturday coffee shop (weekly)
We are really pleased to announce that Rev Zoe Burton is to be our new Vicar, and will come to us on 17th June 2020. Zoe is at present Priest in Charge of Ollerton with Boughton, and also of the Benefices of Kneesall, with Laxton and Wellow; Egmanton: Kirton; Walesby; Bilsthorpe; and of Eakring in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham.Please hold her in your prayers, and also the Parishes she is leaving, as well as continuing to pray for ourselves, as we seek to keep doing God's will in our Benefice.
