We are the local Church of England church in Forest Town. Part of our rationale is to reflect the presence of God in the building and the local community. We believe that Jesus Christ offered the whole of humanity the chance to be reconciled to God and that through his death on the cross after a uniquely perfect life the gates of paradise were thrown open to his people. One day God will ensure that there will be a new earth and a new heaven. These will be perfect in every way and all injustice and wickedness will be banished for ever. God loves all and his deepest desire is for all to be reconciled to him. We seek to love others as God loves us. We are a work in progress and we still get things wrong at times. We are a church for the imperfect.

Safeguarding
Our parish of Forest Town is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [Philip Stead 01623 622177 ] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [01636 817200]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
