This service is open to all those who wish to remember loved ones who have died. Whether your loss was recent or occurred some time ago, you are welcome to attend.
We will read out the names of those whose funerals we have taken in the last 12 months and we give thanks to God for the lives of those we love and see no more. There will be an opportunity for you to light a candle in their memory and a reminder of the eternal hope we have in Jesus.

All Saints

All Saints Church is one of five churches that form The River Idle Benefice of Churches. We are part of the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham in the Church of England. We seek to gather as Christ’s people, valuing everyone’s contribution; Growing in our faith, love and service; Going into the world as disciples. We gather to grow and to go.

We are committed to worship for all ages and offer a variety of services across our benefice and we worship together regularly as a benefice. Our usual pattern of worship has been updated in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic and will remain in place until Spring 2022. We are using this time to review our priorities as a church as we seek to grow disciples wider, younger and deeper. A Holy Communion service takes place on the 1st Sunday of each month at 11.15am and we also meet online for a weekly service of prayer and praise at 9.30am each Sunday. You can find details through these pages or via our River Idle Facebook Page (LINK HERE) and / or via our YouTube Channel (LINK HERE)

Links with our local schools are very important to us as we work to encourage children to explore and grow in faith. If you would like to find out more about anything that you see here please do contact us or come along to one of our services, we’d love to get to know you!

The parish of Mattersey is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Ensuring that children and young people as well as adults are kept safe whilst in our care is an integral part of our church life. If you have any concerns about safeguarding please contact:
