The church in Gringley on the Hill has been established over 800 years, and is located in the centre of the village on the High Street. The Vicar is Rev. David Henson. Services are normally held in church on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, except on those Sundays which are Patronal Festivals of one of the parishes within the group, when there is a joint service at that church, and on the 5th Sundays in the month, when a joint service is held in one of the churches, by rotation. Other churches within the group are: Misterton, Beckingham, Clayworth, Walkeringham and West Stockwith.
The basic pattern of services, since 1st September 2014, will be:
1st Sunday of the month: Morning service at 9.15 a.m. usually Holy Communion
3rd Sunday of the month: Morning Service at 11.00 a.m. alternating between a Family Service and Morning Prayer.
5th Sunday of the month: Joint services at one of the Group Parishes, by rotation. These are held at 10.30 a.m.
Patronal Festivals: Joint service of Holy Communion held at 10.30 a.m.
