Maundy Thursday at Dalby: Bring & Share Supper / A Gethsemane Vigil

We invite you to join us for a bring & share supper from 6.00pm-7.00pm around the fire in the Schoolrooms. Following this, you are welcome to stay for our Gethsemane Vigil. It’s a retreat with a shared story around the fire with time for reflection, music & silence. The story is a thoughtful representation of the gospels based on 'The First Easter' by Peter Marshall, a new light into the Passion. There’ll be refreshments, maybe bring a blanket. No need to book. The whole vigil is three hours from 7pm, but everyone's free to stay for as little or as long as they want.

An invitation for you to join us for 'flowering' the church from 10am.
If you have flowers or greenery you’d like to bring to help decorate the church for Easter, please do just drop by and join us. We’ll be meeting from 10am . . . we’ve plenty of vases to fill!

Sunrise Vigil for Easter Day at the Summit of Cronk ny Arrey Laa

Join us for our annual sunrise vigil celebrating the beginning of Easter Sunday at the top of Cronk ny Arrey Laa.
Leaving at 5.30am from the car park on the bend at the top of the Sloc Road, we walk to the top of Cronk ny Arrey Laa for sunrise at 6:00 am for a brief time of reflection, Celtic prayer & praise, whatever the weather! Bring a torch, breakfast, flasks of coffee or whatever to share and come with sturdy footwear, waterproofs & woolly hats . . . it's cold on the top of even a small mountain! Everyone is welcome, including dogs on leads.

Hot Cross Buns and Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday

We'll be serving hot cross buns & filter coffee in the Schoolrooms on Easter Sunday morning from 10.30 am. Everyone is very welcome to drop by.

. . . and there’ll be an Easter Egg Hunt in the church garden at 10.30am for younger children .

Holy Communion for Easter Sunday

Come and join us as we gather to celebrate Easter together, with traditional Easter Hymns. Cheryl will preach, Canon Margaret will preside. The worship will be followed by tea and cake in the Schoolrooms.

NB The Collection for Easter Sunday is traditionally given to the Minister in recognition of the work they do. Any donations will, at Cheryl’s request, be sent to support the work of A Rocha Kenya where Cheryl and Brian worked in 2003 for the Arabuko-Sokoke Schools & Eco-Tourism Scheme (ASSETS), This is a sustainable eco-development program that helps protect a coastal forest environment as well as create secondary school scholarships for the people who live there.
