Thursday of the Mass of Lords Supper - Maundy Thursday at St. Leonard's Scawsby.

Occuring
for 1 hour, 15 mins
Venue
St Luke's Scawthorpe
Address
Broachgate Scawthorpe Doncaster, DN5 9HA, United Kingdom

Today marks the beginning of the Easter Triduum, the three days that begin on Holy Thursday with the Mass of the Lord's Supper. We celebrate Christ's twofold giving of himself, to his enemies, to die on the cross for the life of the world. To his friends and disciples, his church, to us in the sacrament of his body and blood.
The service is in four parts, the liturgy of the word, the washing of feet, the liturgy of the eucharist and the transfer of the blessed sacrament followed by a period of adoration.
The faithful are encouraged to continue this period of adoration during the watch.

St Luke's Scawthorpe

Welcome to anyone who has taken the trouble to look us up. You are very welcome at all of our services and events either here at St. Luke's or at the parish church of St. Leonard and St. Jude, Barnsley Road, Scawsby. St. Luke's is what we call our daughter church, a place of mission and we hope a place to grow the Christian faith in Scawthorpe.
