On Holy Saturday the Church waits at the Lord's tomb in prayer and fasting meditating on his passion, death and resurrection.
The Easter Vigil in the Holy Night is the culmination of the triduum and is i four parts:
1. The solemn beginning of the vigil or Lucernarium which includes the blessing of the fire and preparation of the Paschal candle from which we the faithful will light their own candles, a candlelit procession and the singing of the Easter Proclamation, the Exsultet.
2. The Liturgy of the Word.
3. The Baptismal Liturgy including the renewal of baptismal promises.
4. The Liturgy of the Eucharist.
