Our church is dedicated to St. Leonard of Noblac (also to St Jude). Leonard was a Frankish nobleman in the 6th century who converted to Christianity, he became a monk at Micy and later a hermit at Noblac where he built himself a cell and lived alone dedicating his life to Almighty God. He was granted an endowment in gratitude by a rich man and founded an abbey at Noblac where he died. We are one of 177 churches in England dedicated to Leonard.
