Meet Our Lord and Saviour in the eucharist, spend thirty minutes in prayer and quiet reflection. This week all at S. Leonards unless otherwise stated.
All restrictions put in place to combat the Covid Pandemic have now been set aside. However, individuals are asked to act responsibly and respect each other's space. If you prefer to continue with precautions such as a mask and hand sanitizing then please feel free to do so, the pandemic has not yet gone away.
The Mass times this week are as follows, Monday 9.30am at S. Luke's, Tuesday 9.30am at S. Philip and S. James, Wednesday 9.30am at All Saints Arksey, Thursday 12.30am at S. Leonard's, Saturday 9.30am at All Saints Arksey and Sunday a Sung Mass at All Saints Arksey at 9am, a Solemn Mass at S. Leonard's at 11.00am and a Sung Mass at S. Philip and S. James at 11am.

This is a relatively new venture for primary and younger secondary school children and their parents. Art, crafts and games or a combination of all three, a simple act of celebration and hospitality in the form of something to eat and drink for those taking part. It is all designed to be fun.

If you like to sing and praise the Lord, come along, you will be welcome.

A venture that will discuss and plan for future events and initiatives. Last year it was a beer festival and this year there will be planning for another which hopefully will be bigger and better. The group have already explored the Christian tradition of brewing and putting it into practise; drinking the end product. No doubt that will continue in one form or another.
Fellowship and fun with a purpose.

Christmas Lunch for those of a certain age. Good food including a main course and a dessert, good company and fellowship and drink or two. There may also be a visit from you know who. There is no charge for the event but donations towards the cost are invited. This extravaganza is not limited to church members so being your family and friends. Obviously we need to know the numbers of those attending together with any dietary needs so add the names to the list at the back of church.

A quiz. together with questions about the faith to be held in St. Leonard's Church Barnsley Road, Scawsby. Snacks, a drink if you want to bring your own, fun and fellowship.

Crafts, games, tombola, Christmas stalls, mulled wine and mince pies. Fun for all ages, what better way to begin our preparations for the Nativity of Our Lord.

An event for all the family. Come and join us to sing those much loved carols and if you wish join in with the Scratch Nativity, What is a Scratch Nativity? Well you bring your own costume, improvised of course. If you want to be a shepherd put a tea towel on your head, if you want to be a king wear a crown. Sadly we can only have one Mary, one Joseph and one baby Jesus. Mulled wine and mince pies afterwards.

A Priest or Deacon removes the sacred host from the tabernacle and places it in the monstrance on the altar with proper solemnity for adoration and devotion by the faithful. A time of quiet in the presence of our Lord and Saviour.

A pattern of prayer involving a series of meditations on some aspects or mysteries of the life of Jesus and his mother Mary.
The Joyful Mysteries - Annunciation, Visitation, Nativity, Presentation in the temple and Finding the Temple.
The Sorrowful Mysteries - The agony of Jesus in the garden, the scourging of Jesus, crowning with thorns, carrying the cross and the crucifixion,
The Glorious Mysteries - Resurrection of Jesus, Ascension of Jesus, Descent of the Holy Spirit, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary as Queen of Heaven.
The Light Mysteries - Baptism of Jesus, the wedding at Cana, the declaration of the Kingdom of God, the Transfiguration and the institution of the Eucharist.
The Lord's Prayer. the Hail Mary, the Glory be are all you need to know, the Apostles Creed would be a bonus. Whatever, you will soon pick it up, a set of prayer beads can be provided.
