About Us
Great Heck Church is a Chapel of Ease of the historic Parish of Hensall. It was built in the late 19th Century when the then Vicar of Hensall fell out with the Church in Hensall over his 'High Church' theology. He arranged for Great Heck to be built in the style of an 'Oxford Movement Church'
Although there are no regular Sunday services, St John the Baptist has recently been reordered. It is an ideal venue for a day retreat, quiet day or meeting. It is fully accessible and has both toilet and small kitchen.
