About Us

St. Cuthbert's Church serves the Parish of Herringthorpe in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. We are part of a Mission Area with St James Church Clifton and St Mary Magdalene Church Whiston.  We are a warm and friendly group of people who get together throughout the week to praise God. Our Church Building is located in Sitwell Park Road, just off Wickersley Road.

As Christians we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. We believe that the Bible is God's reliable word for today, and through it we can come to know God in our public worship and private prayer. We want to share the importance of our faith with others by the way we live our day-to-day life and by our involvement in the community. Therefore our Church aim is to help people to find out about Jesus Christ and to grow in faith. Adjoining the Church, we have a large Church Hall on Bent Lathes Avenue, which is used by the local community for various functions, as well as being available for hire for parties until 6 pm.  Our Hall Manager is Jenny Cartwright who can be contacted by telephone on 07807 696672.
Hall hire charges for one-off bookings are £25 an hour.
