The Organ is a 2 manual tracker action made by Brindley and Foster of Sheffield somewhere between 1854 and 1910 when St Leonard’s Church had the north aisle extension done, due to the pit being sunk and the increase in congregation with the mine workers. There are some 1,000 pipes and a further 638 in the swell box. The organ used to be worked manually by bellows but this only happens on rare occasions now when the electrics play up.
Our services are taken from the book of Common Prayer
