After the Summer Break Warm Spot is taking place on Tuesdays from 10:30-12:30. You can just come to enjoy each other's company around a cuppa, soup is often on the menu at lunchtime and there's also a chance to try a creative art of some sort.
We have been making good progress with our building project to restore our much loved church buildingWith many thanks to the kind generosity of the church members and local community along with grants from The Yorkshire Historical Trust, Tescos, the Diocese and The Church Burgesses Trust we have been able to make real progress. The roof and gutter repairs have been completed along with a new drainpipe and soakaway. This means the building is now watertight and dry. The damaged plasterwork has been repaired in all areas apart from the vestry. The next stage is the vestry roof repairs and wall. These have been awaiting the appropriate advice in regard to completing the repairs with history sensitivity to the building. It shouldn't be long before a start is made on this. The tower works are also nearly complete with just two ladders left to be replaced. The final stage will be the decorating of the inside of the building. We can't stress how grateful we are for the kindness of all involved for their generous giving of time, money and energy. Thank you all.
