Christ Church Pitsmoor

We’re an Anglican Parish Church based a mile north of Sheffield city centre, part of the vibrant community of Pitsmoor. The area is hugely diverse and this is reflected in the life of Christ Church – we’re a church of all ages and multiple cultures. We have a wide range of ways that we express our Christian faith – but we work together to learn, grow and serve.

We’re committed to looking outward beyond our walls to the area around us. As a church, we’re involved in various projects and events that aim to provide for the most vulnerable in our community and which also promote cohesion and peace.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Pitsmoor: Christ Church is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Sheffield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Nick Edmondson, [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
