Porter Valley Concert Band are a local group who are celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year. To celebrate the joy and community of amateur music-making, we will be playing a selection of our favourite pieces from our back catalogue, including Dixieland, big band (including Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington), and classical styles (Shostakovich, Vaughan Williams). We will also play funk and soul classics (including Earth, Wind and Fire; Stevie Wonder), music from films (Sing!, Blues Brothers) and more contemporary pop. There will even be a chance for some audience participation if you fancy joining us in some singing!

Tickets £6.00 in advance from www.sheffieldartsstudio.co.uk, or £8.00 on the door.
