You are very welcome at our Advent and Christmas services and events – bring your family and friends or come along on your own. Whether it will be your first time at church or you have been before, we look forward to welcoming you!

* St Paul’s Christmas Fayre– Saturday 6th December 2025 10am – 1pm – Please come along and support our church.

* Carols at the Cross Scythes public house on Wednesday evening (7pm) on the 10th December 2025 . A chance to sing with us , and also avail yourself of your favourite drink. Carol Sheets provided.

* On Saturday 20th December 2025 at 6:30pm , we are holding "The Longest Night " , A metal carol service in church. A chance to explore a love of heavy music and the Christian faith .

* We are holding a Candlelit Carol Service at St.Paul's with refreshments at 6pm on Sunday 21st December 2025.

* We are holding "Carols in the Park" in Meersbrook Park Walled Garden again at 6pm on Monday 22nd December 2025 - The entrance to the garden is via the entrance near Meersbrook Hall , and then up and right on the path towards the entrance. It will be dark , so please ensure that you bring torches or phones with you , and dress to withstand the weather ( let's hope it's dry) . You can download a copy of the carol sheet from here but we will have some copies to give out. At this time of year we take donations for charities - HARC ( Homeless and rootless at Christmas ) and the Children's Society , so there will be a couple of buckets around for whatever you are able to give.

* * Our Midnight Communion service this year will take place at St. Chad's Church ( off Abbey Lane ) from 11:30 pm Wednesday 24th 2025.

* Christmas morning Service , Family Communion , at 10am on Thursday 25th December 2025.
