St. Augustine's Church

St Augustine's is a welcoming church.  In particular, we try to enable people to live out their faith as part of our parish community through:

• Worship and prayer; learning about the gospel; developing their knowledge and trust in Jesus Christ.

• Provision of pastoral care for people

• Inclusive mission and outreach work. The mission is ‘To be a culturally diverse fellowship and to be a vital Christian presence in the heart of Endcliffe and Hunters Bar, to offer hope and welcome to all people by sharing God’s love and forgiveness. To seek to make the love of Jesus known to our community and to the wider area through our worship, preaching, praying, healing, fellowship, service and openness to the Holy Spirit’.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Endcliffe: St Augustine is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Sheffield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Viv Smith 07434928608 viv.smith @staugustinessheffield.org or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Siân Checkley [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
