But what does that mean and why might it be important for us this Advent?
If the meaning of Advent always passes you by in the rush to get to Christmas Day or you'd just like a moment to enjoy a novel re-telling of the Advent story, in a quiet and intimate space, then make this your time this Christmas.
The evening will be held in the Old School, Dore. Mulled wine and mince pies will round off the evening.

Thanks for visiting our church webpage.

Christ Church Dore is a friendly, welcoming and caring christian community. People who attend our church mainly live within a few miles of the village centre but, wherever your home is, you are ensured of a warm welcome.

Our Sunday and midweek services cater for a range of styles and forms of worship. Our Sunday 5.30pm main service is family friendly with provision for children; it is also livestreamed. There are a number of active House Groups that meet during the week to support and develop people in their faith.

As a church we enjoy active community outreach links with The Grace foodbank, support services and The Oakes, a christian holiday centre for school age children and young adults.
