St Peter and St Oswald's

Welcome to St Peter's and St. Oswald's.

We are a welcoming parish church which seeks to serve our community by providing opportunities for worship and service to those in need.

Revd Anesia Cook left the parish at the end of August 2024 to take up the post of Racial Justice Officer in the Sheffield Diocese.  While we are in an interregnum, awaiting a new priest to join us we are encouraging our lay leadership to flourish.

Our service patten has changed slightly.

On the first Sunday of the month we are joining our neighbours Carterknowle Methodist Church for their Communion service at 10.45am.

We are holding our Holy Communion Services in church at 10.00am on the second, fourth and fifth weeks of the month.   We are now receiving both the bread and wine but if you are uncomfortable using the common chalice you are welcome to take the bread and then return to your seat, stewards are in place for guidance.

While on the third Sunday at 10.00am we are having Morning Prayer lead by our Lay Readers.

St. Peter's, Abbeydale is part of the Community of St. Peter and St. Oswald, the Parish Church for Abbeydale and Millhouses.
