● Main Point: A life of the Spirit of Jesus helps us swap Sloth (lack of purpose) for joy (diligence in working for the Lord) as we allow him to work in our brokenness.

● Fruit of the Spirit: Joy (Diligence)

UNPACKING SLOTH:

● Focus: Laziness, apathy, or neglect of one’s responsibilities (spiritual, emotional, or physical).

● Core Motivation: Avoidance of effort, responsibility, or engagement with life’s demands.

● Example: Procrastination, neglecting prayer or spiritual growth, indifference to others’ needs.

Spiritual Consequence: Sloth leads to stagnation in one’s faith and a failure to fulfill one’s purpose
