FILM CLUB 

Everyone is welcome to the film club which runs every second Tuesday of the month. 

We meet in the Genner Rooms at 10am for coffee, and the film starts at 10.30am. 

If you need a little help getting there from home, please ring me and I will endeavour to organise whatever help you require. 

I thought it would be helpful to list dates and the films to be shown for the next few months, so you can put the ones you wish to see in your diaries. 

13th February Rabbit Proof Fence - with Kenneth Branagh and score by Peter Gabriel. Based on the true story of the effect of the Australian policy to train aboriginal children as domestic workers and to integrate them into white society. 

12th March Shakespeare in Love – with Gwyneth Paltrow and Joseph Fiennes 

9th April The Horses Mouth with Alec Guinness 

14th May A Haunting in Venice with Kenneth Branagh as Poirot 

11th June The Thomas Crown Affair with Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway 

9th July Blinded by the Light - to words and music by Bruce Springsteen; “utterly joyous”

Then we have our August break for the summer and return in September.
