Come and Sing - Stainer's Crucifixion

Occuring
for 3 hours, 30 mins
Venue
Westerham Parish Church
Address
St. Mary the Virgin Church The Green WESTERHAM Kent TN16 1AS, TN16 1AS, United Kingdom

Come and join our 'pop-up' choir this Easter Eve. No choral experience needed - we practise in the afternoon, and perform in the evening!

Be part of one of the great choral works of Easter: Stainer's Crucifixion. This is a wonderful choral work that appeals to all at this important time of year and is being held at St Mary's. Under the guidance of Director of Music, Dan Eaton, we have three superb musicians joining us: Alex Trigg (organ), James Oldfield (bass) and David Woods (tenor).

However, you don't need to be a great singer, or in a choir already, because we will support each other's voices, so this is a great introduction to choral singing. We are able to provide musical scores, but please let us know in advance so that we can organise this for you.

If you do wish to join us, please click on the link here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/come-and-sing-stainers-crucifixion-tickets-518565432167

This will take you to our Eventbrite site to register your interest. There is no charge; this is simply that we know how many people will be joining us and what part they plan to sing.

Singers should arrive at 3.15pm for practice starting at 3.30pm. The devotional performance will then be at 6pm for your friends, family and the wider community.

Please do join us for this; you will be most warmly welcomed. Tickets in the choir and audience are all free, but there will be a retiring collection and any donation you feel able to make will help our musical ministry and outreach, and will be gratefully received.

Westerham Parish Church

Welcome to St Mary's Church, located in the centre of Westerham in Kent. On 1st July 2024 we became one half of the Benefice of Crockham Hill and Westerham with our sister church of Holy Trinity, Crockham Hill. We're here for the whole community, and absolutely everyone is very welcome to come to one of our services, even if you've never been to church before.

We invite you to join with us as we discover more about the love of God and learn how we can better reflect that love to each other. To find out more, or to arrange a wedding, funeral or baptism in either of our churches, please contact the Benefice Office on 01959 561330 or [email protected].

St Mary's is open for visitors and personal prayer, from 9am each day. Please feel free to join us for Morning Prayer which is usually said at that time.
