Morning Prayer

Morning Prayer is usually offered in church, from Tuesday to Saturday (except Bank Holidays) and is a good way to start your day. The service is usually in modern language using Common Worship Daily Prayer, but sometimes we use other orders of service, including traditional language.

Please note that, on occasion, it might be cancelled, but the church will normally be open from 9.00 so please feel free to spend some time with God, even if the service does not go ahead.

Coffee Time

Easter Flower Workshop

All materials are included in the ticket price as well as tea, coffee and handmade cake. You will have the opportunity to make your own Easter arrangement to take home.

Traditional Holy Communion

A spoken service of Holy Communion using Common Worship Order Two. This service is almost exactly like that found in the Book of Common Prayer. You will find a quiet welcome, and space to spend time with God as we soak up the beautiful language of the Prayer Book.

A simple but delicious meal remembering the 1st Passover followed at 7.00pm by the Maundy Liturgy as we go into church to spiritually join Jesus and the disciples in the Upper Room. A powerful service evoking the Last Supper and Jesus' betrayal in Gethsemane.
Please feel free to come to both, or just the meal or service.

Come and Sing - Handel's Messiah (Parts 1 and 2)

Come and join our 'pop-up' choir this Easter Eve. You don't need to be a churchgoer or have any choral experience - we practise in the afternoon, and perform in the evening under the guidance of Dan Eaton, our Director of Music.

Be part of one of the great choral works: Handel's Messiah (Parts 1 and 2). This is a wonderful choral work that appeals to all at this important time of year and is being held at St Mary's.

However, you don't need to be a great singer, or in a choir already, because we will support each other's voices, so this is a great introduction to choral singing. This year we are inviting soloists from the choir - please let us know if you would like to sing an aria. We are able to provide musical scores, but please let us know in advance so that we can organise this for you. There is no charge; this is simply that we know how many people will be joining us and what part they plan to sing.

Please do join us for this; you will be most warmly welcomed. Tickets in the choir and audience are all free, but there will be a retiring collection and any donation you feel able to make will help our musical ministry and outreach, and will be gratefully received.

Alternatively, just come along for the devotional performance in the evening, and enjoy the music!

Lighting of the New Fire and Exultet

Gather at dawn outdoors in the beauty of Westerham churchyard as we make the Paschal Proclamation once more, lighting the new flame and blessing the Easter Candle before bringing the Light back into the building and singing the Church's ancient song of praise.
