All afternoon, St Peter's was filled with activity as Anna chaplains from across the diocese held a workshop learning about "Messy Vintage" and trying out crafts for older people. Excitement rose, as the Archbishop of Canterbury arrived to meet the Anna Chaplains and hear about their work.
He then joined St Peter's Choir, visiting singers from Botley in Bishops Waltham deanery, and a very full church for a wonderful Choral Evensong. As part of the service, Canon Debbie Thrower, founder of the Anna Chaplains, interviewed the Archbishop about his new report "Reimagining Care". He gave an insight into the life of Archbishop, recently returning from Armenia, and responding to the conflict in Gaza.
Wine and canapes followed and everyone was delighted to have a chance to talk to the Archbishop.
