... to be confirmed next week, but following the announcement by the Prime Minister this week, we're currently working to see if we can open for Individual Private Prayer & Reflection on Sunday 5th July between 11am and 2pm at St Mary’s. Our other church buildings will not be opening just yet.We don’t currently plan to restart services but shall continue to offer online services for those who are able to join in with us. You can sign up to receive them at http://stmarysalverstoke.org.ukThe access to St. Mary's may be especially welcome by those 50 or so members of the congregation who do not have internet access to our online worship. We are planning to stick with the strict 2 metre social distancing rule at St. Mary's, which means that the maximum number of people at any one time will be 20. Entry will be through the main west Tower Door, where visitors will be greeted by a steward. Exit will be through the south porch door. We plan to provide suitable training for those people who have kindly volunteered as stewards first though.Confirmation of the start date and more information will appear next week, so please do check in for a further update then. In the meantime, please do pray for the church council and the other members of the team as they make final decisions about how and when to reopen our church buildings. (Andy Norris, Rector. 25 June)
