St John the Baptist

Welcome to St John the Baptist Church in Shedfield! We look forward to welcoming you to our services. We meet in St John the Baptist Church on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. On the second Sunday we have Holy Communion at 8am using the Book of Common Prayer and at 10am we have our Sunday Service which is a non-eucharistic service with our music group. On the fourth Sunday we have a 10am service of parish communion using Common Worship.  On the second Sunday of each month we have Evensong using the Book of Common Prayer.  This service alternates between St John the Baptist Church and St Nicholas, Wickham that is our sister church in the benefice. First and third Sundays follow the same pattern of services in St Nicholas, Wickham. Please look at our website for the up to date details.

Sung Evensong with hymns. This service alternates monthly between St John the Baptist Church, Shedfield and St Nicholas Church, Wickham.
From September 2024 until further notice, ALL services are held in St John the Baptist Church, Shedfield due to extensive repairs in St Nicholas, Wickham.

The church is open for private prayer between 10am and 4pm or dusk in the winter.
