The charity we are supporting is 'The Star's Appeal - Benson Suite' at Salisbury Hospital. The Benson Suite provides space for families who sadly experience the death of their baby. The Suite help ensure the very short time these families are able to spend together is as precious, dignified and personal as possible. The suite is also available to families who have experienced the birth of a critically ill child and babies when a mother is unwell.
As many of maybe aware, this important charity has recently been a comfort to a couple who are close to St. Olave's heart.
If you are able to come along for coffee, cake and spend a happy morning with us, we would be most grateful.

Safeguarding

Our parish of St Olave's Gatcombe is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Portsmouth’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the Parish Safeguarding Officer by emailing [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor by emailing [email protected] or ring 023 9289 9665. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
