18:15 Cowes Week Regatta Service led by Rev'd Elizabeth Moxley
Hymns from Complete Anglican Hymns Old & New
474 Now thank we all our God
686 Through all the changing scenes of life
153 Eternal Father strong to save
534 O praise ye the Lord
The Collect for Trinity 8
Almighty Lord and everlasting God,
we beseech you to direct, sanctify and govern
both our hearts and bodies in the ways of your laws
and the works of your commandments;
that through your most mighty protection, both here and ever,
we may be preserved in body and soul;
through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
who is alive and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Reading for Regatta Service - Mark 4.35-41
On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, ‘Let us go across to the other side.’ And leaving the crowd behind, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. Other boats were with him. A great gale arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that the boat was already being swamped. But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and said to him, ‘Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?’ He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace! Be still!’ Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm. He said to them, ‘Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?’ And they were filled with great awe and said to one another, ‘Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?’
We pray for all who live and work in Alexandra Road, Battery Road, Brambles Lane, Coronation Road, Upper Moorgreen Road and the parish of St Mary's
All are welcome to our family friendly services that last approximately 1 hour and are live streamed on YouTube. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
