Cowes Week Regatta Service led by Rev'd Elizabeth Moxley

INTRODUCTION
We gather at the beginning of Cowes Week in this church
built for sailors, to pray for God’s blessing upon the sailing
community, on the town and on all who come here to spend
time in Cowes and on the waters around the island. We
remember with thanksgiving those who enable this annual
celebration of sea and sail which enriches so many lives.
We are here today too, to thank God for the Royal National
Lifeboat Institution as they celebrate 200 years of their
lifesaving work. We will pray for all those whose daily lives
are given to working at sea or preserving lives at sea.
And lastly, let’s spend a quiet moment thanking God for our
lives, and all the many blessings he has given us.
