An informal monthly evening service where we often use the time to discuss an item of topical interest and how that relates to our Christian faith.

Usually the first Sunday of every month, we gather from 6pm for a 630pm start

WELCOME TO ST. CUTHBERT AND ST. AIDAN’S churches.


We are Anglican (Church of England) churches located towards the North East corner of the ‘island’ of Portsmouth.

Our priest in charge is the Revd. Clive Gardner who joined us in March 2024.

St. Cuthbert’s serves the community around the Baffins area of Copnor and St. Aidan’s, which meets in The Lodge Community Centre, supports the Anchorage Park area of the parish.

The parish is a member of the Inclusive Church network, and we want everyone to feel welcome to join us on Sundays or at our many activities on other days of the week.

SERVICES 

St. Cuthbert’s & St. Aidan’s churches are open for regular worship:

St Aidan’s – Sunday Worship at 9am

HOLY COMMUNION or MORNING PRAYER

St Cuthbert’s – Sunday Worship: Services take place in St. Cuthbert’s Church on the corner of Lichfield Road and Hayling Ave., Copnor, Portsmouth, PO3 6DE

10.45am HOLY COMMUNION 

10.45am Services are livestreamed and can be accessed via Face Book (@StCuthbertCofE) and also the church website and You Tube a short time after the live stream.

We also have:

Tuesday - Holy Communion (said) 9.30am.

Messy Church - generally the first Saturday of each month

Encompass service - for older people, on the first Tuesday of every month, including games and tea!

Stay and Play - a fun group for babies and toddlers and their parents or carers! Every Wednesday between 930-1030am

St Cuthbert’s – Café: open 10 – 1pm wach weekday morning in church.

We also have a range of rooms available for hire for groups, meetings and also parties for children under the age of 8 years old. We are particularly interested in working with local groups and charities that share our ethos and provide services or support for our local communities.
