About Us

Built in 1913, The Parish Church of the Ascension is a warm and lively parish church in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, located in the residential area of North End in the City of Portsmouth.

Irrespective of whether you are strong in the faith, newly converted, exploring religion for the first time or just moved into the area, you can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome, please don't take our word for it, come and find out for yourself.

Children and families are very welcome.

It is possible to privately hire the church hall, garden and large kitchen facilities for your own event or children’s parties.

We have regular social events, including quiz nights, craft fares etc. which are advertised through this page and Facebook. Everyone is welcome and we would love you to join in.

Normal Services are:

Sundays:               Parish Mass at 11am                  

Thursdays:            Evensong at 6pm and Low Mass at 6.30pm
