Recycling Refresher

Community_news

This year let's all try to recycle a bit more than we did last year. This refresher for our memories about what actually can go into our council recycling bins. There is a difference between Havant Borough Council and Chichester Borough Council.

HBC will take in your bin empty aerosal cans, dry cardboard, clean food tins, newpaper, plastic bottles with a lid, spray gun bottles.

CBC will take in your bin empty aerosal cans, dry cardboard, clean food tins, newpaper, plastic bottles with a lid, spray gun bottles, aluminium foil, cardboard drinks cartons, clean foil trays, glass bottles with a lid, glass jard with a lid, clean moulded plastic packaging, clean plastic pots, tubs and trays, clean ready meal trays, clean cardboard soup cartons, clean tetra pak cartons, empty toothpaste tubes and clean youghurt pots and similar.

Don't forget you can find other items to recyle locally such as old batteries, clothing and textiles, aluminium foil and packaging, empty blister packs, cleaned food pouches, glass jars and bottles with the lid on, empty inhalers, pens, old reading glasses, small electrical items, clean soft packaging, unused prescription medicine, used cosmetics and used water filters.

For more details please see March's Running Free which is available in both churches and the parish office for a donation of £1.50.
