St. Peter and St. Paul is one of five churches in this group.
Built on the site of a Roman temple, the church has Saxon origins. The font dates from this period. Norman arches and windows were added.
A fine example of mediaeval wall-painting is to be found on the NE walls.
The poet John Clare was married in the church.
