Piddington with Horton have supported Makeni Ecumenical Centre in Lusaka, Zambia, for many years through the money people donate for coffee after church services.  MEC is a non-governmental development organisation with a focus on improving the lives of people in the area through education, medical services, and agricultural development.

St John the Baptist Piddington also raises money for local causes, including the Northampton food bank and Hope Centre.  Donations of tinned food items and other goods can be made via a box inside the church which is regularly emptied and taken to the food bank.
