The bells at Holy Cross church were last overhauled in 1908. They have a lovely tone but have become difficult to ring due to the wear and decay of the bell wheels and other mechanical parts. This project will see the existing 6 bells re-hung in a new frame with the addition of two smaller bells thereby giving us a full octave ring of 8 bells. We are also to upgrade our silent ringing apparatus which is used for training and install a system of sound control so that the loudness of the bells can be reduced at certain times.
