About Us
St Giles is an Anglican Church offering lively worship, bible teaching and a real sense of community. Our style is quite informal and modern. We have around 240 people on our electoral roll and around 400 adults and 170 children who have some kind of regular contact with us. Although we are part of the Church of England you don’t have to be an Anglican to come here! Many of our members come from different Christian backgrounds and live outside the parish.
Our website aims to give you a flavour of what happens here at St Giles. This includes our services, activities, our people, courses we run and our involvement in mission.
You can also find out about our vision and values, our diocese and information about weddings, baptisms and funerals using the menu.
We hope you enjoy exploring our website!
St Giles is a Simeon's Church - it holds to the centrality of the Bible and is focused on mission. Our worship is modern, accessible and lively; Our teaching is Bible-based and relevant; Our Pastoral Care offers inclusive, accountable and supportive relationships; Our mission is in partnership with all who preach Christ. As a large church we seek to grow through multiple congregations and cell-based small groups. We use Alpha as our main focus in evangelism. Our Youth and children's team offers excellence in teaching and nurturing children and young people. We have a staff team (full and part time) and believe in every member ministry.
