Tuition with muffled clappers for initial bell control is normally available by arrangement to start at 6.30pm. Normal (Noisy) practice is from 7.30pm - 9pm. Attendance averages 11 with ringers from several local towers.

We are always looking out for new recruits to this fascinating, peculiarly English, mental, physical, and social heritage exercise. Come and see what we get up to any Wednesday or phone 01327 871806.

We traditionally do not practice in Holy Week on the Wednesday before Easter.

Drop in to the village hall for a cup of tea with delicious home-made cakes perhaps before collecting the children from school. Great cakes. Great company. Great gossip! Come along and join the fun. Coffee Morning in Church

Coffee morning - The monthly coffee morning in St Mary’s Church will be held on the 3rd Tuesday from 10.30am to 12 noon.

The monthly church lottery will be drawn about 11.30am. Everyone will be most welcome to come along for coffee, tea, home-made cake and chat.

The most popular of the special Christmas services, welcomed by villagers and returning families even more so. This year, as we have no vicar, it will be led by Susan Rose.

CHRISTMAS COMMUNION

Holy Communion will be celebrated, using the Common Worship format, on Christmas Day morning by our villager, the Revd Greg Shaw.

Ring-out 2024 and ring-in 2025!

Our bellringers will be continuing the custom of ringing the bells till just before midnight, drinking a toast and then welcoming 2025 by firing the bells (all ring simultaneously!) for midnight and ringing some call changes. Visiting and lapsed ringers are very welcome to come and join in and non-ringers are very welcome to come and enjoy the festivity so long as they don't get entangled in moving ropes! Enter by the tower door, not through the church.
