About Us

Saint Peter's Church in Walgrave is a part of a Benefice with the Churches in Hannington, Old (Wold) and Scaldwell.  The Revd David Bent is our rector. There is a thriving and welcoming Christian community in Walgrave. Church membership is over fifty, although a much greater number of villagers attend Church services sometime during the year, often to the special services such as Christmas, Easter, Mothering Sunday, Harvest Festival and Remembrance Sunday. The Church is very active socially in the village and puts on many events; the social calendar has featured, amongst others, a Summer Lunch, a Flower Festival (we have an active Flower Guild), a Barn Dance, a Safari Supper, a Harvest Lunch and produce auction, musical evenings and a sponsored Bicycle Ride.
