All Saints' Croughton
Our beautiful church dates in parts from the 12th century (although we have had a parish church in Croughton far longer than even that) and it is featured prominently in England's 1000 Best Churches. many people come to see our famous 14th century Wall Paintings, which show the Passion of Christ, and the Life of the Virgin Mary.
The National Churches Trust describes us like this: "Spectacular stained glass; Glorious furnishings; Famous connections; Captivating architecture".
As beautiful as our building is, our focus is and always has been our devoted and welcoming Christian community. Here at All Saints' we meet together to pray, to celebrate, to share the ups and downs of life, and to praise God. Anyone is welcome to join us in our services and activities, or simply to visit our church. Come to see our historic stained glass and wall paintings, or to enjoy a quiet space to pray or just to breath in the busyness of the week.

St George's Evenley
St. George is Patron Saint of England as a whole, and Evenley Village in particular. Our lovely village church, dedicated to St. George, has sat on this sight since at least the 12th Centaury. Most of our church was rebuilt in the 19th centaury, but parts of the older building do survive, as do memorials to some remarkable Evenley residents. In any case, old or new, all of our church is beautiful.
Thanks to our kind team of volunteers, our church is open each day for visitors and as a space for prayer. St. George's church offers place to come for prayer, or just a space to breath in the busyness of the week. Our wonderful team of volunteers care for our church grounds (where curious adjacent alpacas can be seen leaning over the wall) and our Dedicated round of Bell Ringers can be heard practicing during the week, or ringing for our services and other important events in the life of the village or the nation.
As beautiful as our building and churchyard are, our focus is and always has been our devoted and welcoming Christian community. Here at St. George's we meet together to pray, to celebrate, to share the ups and downs of life, and to praise God. Anyone is welcome to join us in our services and activities, or simply to visit our church.
We look forward to welcoming to you soon.

The Most Holy Trinity
Welcome to our page on the church of The Most Holy Trinity in the village of Hinton-in-the-Hedges.
We have had a parish church in Hinton-in-the-Hedges since Saxon times. As it stands today, Holy Trinity made up of many parts, with each generation leaving their mark on the building. Uniting all these different ages and styles is the single purpose of our church, to be the home of a living Christian Community, and the house of God in our village.
We have three services a month (with some extra at times of the year) as well as housing special services, concerts, talks, and events. Our Church is open, thanks to our kind volunteers, during the day to offer a peaceful space to pray, or just a place to breath in the middle of the busyness of the week.
Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy our church space. To explore our unique history, our beautiful building and monuments, or to join us as we meet together to pray, to celebrate, to share the ups and downs of life, and to praise God.
We look forward to welcoming to you soon.

St Peter's Chapel, Steane
St. Peter's Chapel is located in the grounds of Steane Park.
Steane Chapel is the Chapel of Ease to our main Church, Most Holy Trinity. The two parishes were combined in 1752 to create the parish of 'Hinton-in-the-Hedges with Steane', possibly one of the longest parish names in England (we can't compete with Wales). Whilst Holy Trinity is the parish church, St. Peter's holds six Evensong services a year, as well as a number of other events, weddings and baptisms.
Built as a mortuary chapel for the family of a Bishop of Durham, Steane Chapel is architecturally fascinating. We hold our six Evensongs during the summer months as St. Peter's has no electricity, and we rely on the lighter summer evenings.
A service at St. Peter's is a unique event that many enjoy, and the memories of which they treasure. We are not open daily, so it is only possible to visit when we are holding an event or a service.
We would love to welcome you. Wherever you live, wherever you come from, you are invited to Steane!
