About Us
Peterborough Cathedral is the Bishop's principal church for the Diocese of Peterborough - covering the north of Peterborough, Northamptonshire and Rutland. It has been a house of prayer, welcome and service for over 1300 years. The present building has been inspiring awe and wonder for over 900 years. All are welcome and here all are embraced in the love of Christ.
The Cathedral is at the heart of a diverse and growing city and is a focus of local identity and pride. It is one of the great Norman churches of England, the burial place of Katharine of Aragon and a building of national and international significance.
